About Picket Fence

Welcome to Picket Fence, a small hobby breeder of Cavalier King Charles Spaniels. We’re located in Bluffton, South Carolina.

We have a passion for the breed and love to study, train and show our dogs. Picketfence Cavaliers are registered with the American Kennel Club and the Cavalier King Charles Spaniel Club, USA. Our dogs are health tested annually by board-certified specialists.

Though we proudly show our dogs in the conformation ring, our Cavaliers are first and foremost our companions. They live in our home as pet members of our family, and travel with us wherever we go.

About Cavaliers

Darla of Picket Fence Cavaliers The Cavalier King Charles Spaniel is a sweet, affectionate and loving companion with a waggly tail that never stops. Cavaliers have a gentle melting expression with large dark brown eyes, a silky coat with feathering, and are a “wash and wear” breed requiring only occasional brushing and bathing. Cavaliers get along well with children, cats, and other dogs, and are very adaptable, as long as they can be with you.

Cavaliers have some heritable conditions that can affect their health, the two most significant are mitral valve disease (MVD) and syringomyelia (SM).
